Hollande suggests European debt crisis is over
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - French President Francois Hollande, who visited Japan over the weekend, said in a speech delivered before a group of Japanese business leaders that the debt crisis in the Eurozone had already ended.
“We have used various measures to address weaker nations,” Hollande explained. “Member nations have tried to restore fiscal health. We have also established a banking federation. Due to these efforts, yields in the euro zone have dropped dramatically and we have been able to restore confidence among investors."
This point of view is not concordant with that of the majority of maret experts who remind that the euro area is still in recession and that unemployment levels in several Member States are at record highs.
