Bitcoin rejected at 5-DMA
FXStreet (Mumbai) - Bitcoin prices failed to sustain gains above the 5-DMA located at 236.97 earlier today, post which it erased part of its gains to trade at the current level of USD 233.76.
Bitcoin back below 50-DMA
The virtual currency dipped below the 50-DMA currently located at USD 242.18, a level which it had breached on the upside on 14th Feb. However, prices dipped below the same immediately in the next session. Prices have been stuck largely in a range of USD 260-200 since the last week of January.
Meanwhile, Litecoin too, has been stuck in the range of USD 2.03 and 1.66 levels. Elsewhere, CoinDesk’s Biotcoin Price Index, which calculated the average price of the virtual currency across the globe, gained 1.58% to trade at USD 237.24.
Bitcoin Technical Levels
The immediate resistance is seen at 260.00, above which gains could be extended to 300.00 levels. On the flip side, support is seen at 200.0 levels and 162.68 levels.
