Canada: CPI rises 1.7% YoY in April, matching expectations
Canada’s consumer-price index advanced 1.7% from a year earlier in April,Statistics Canada said Friday, matching expectations. The core rate, which excludes volatile items such as some food and energy prices, rose 2.2% in the same period.
On a month-over-month basis, headline consumer prices rose 0.3% in April, while core inflation climbed 0.2%.
