UK Markit Sept construction PMI jumps back into expansion

The construction sector activity in the UK economy extended its rebound from seven-year lows and surprised markets to the upside in September, a fresh report from Markit Economics showed on Tuesday.

The final Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) in the UK jumped to 52.3 points in Sept, after having booked 49.2 points in Aug. Markets had predicted a drop to 49.0 in last month.
