Japan’s Kono: Will run for LDP head in future - Sankei

Japanese Foreign Minister Kono was reported earlier today by Sankei newspaper, as saying that he will run for the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) leadership in future.

Kono, however, declined to comments whether he will challenge the Japanese PM Abe in September next year.

Separately, Yomiuri reported that Japan’s government is considering exempting some high-income earners from the tax increase.
