Bill to end US government shutdown clears key hurdle in Senate - RTRS
Finally, the US Senate voted on Friday to clear the legislative bill to end a government shutdown, after the Senator Rand Paul delayed the consideration of a bipartisan budget package in order to protest an expected increase in the US deficit, Reuters reports.
The procedural vote limited debate on a bill that would fund the government through March 23 and increase spending limits over a two-year period.
