Italy’s Deputy PM Salvini: Italy's Govt is at no risk of falling

Ahead of a do-or-die confidence vote in the Senate over a contested decree on security and immigration on Wednesday, the Italian Deputy Prime Minister (PM) Matteo Salvini said that there is he sees no risk of the Italian government collapsing.

Salvini noted: “The government is absolutely not at risk.” 

Separately, Italy’s Statistics Office, ISTAT, came out with a statement, citing:

Sees economy slowing in coming months.

Sees persistent weakness in Italy’s economic cycle.
